Learn about SGBs, your options, and how to connect with care in your area
Download a PDF about the VA and their understanding of SGBs. This is a great way to have backing during a VA appointment. Remember, precedent ALREADY exists.
Don't let the VA tell you no if this is what you want to do.
SGBs have been performed for decades. SGBs have gotten easier to do with all the advances in technology and medicine we've seen. If you're looking for a more medical understanding of what an SGB is, there is a plethora of information available.
We communicate with different providers quite often. We have a non-comprehensive list that includes names, locations, costs, and what might differentiate one provider from another. Take a look below, or download the PDF.
VA SGBs: A PTSD Fact Sheet
The VA already has data about SGBs and how they can help even treatment resistant PTSD and Depression. Studies are being conducted at VA hospitals in multiple states. When you're talking to your doctor, be sure to bring this and establish that the VA already has a program for SGB referrals. For now, the easiest path is a pain referral for neck and/or back pain associated with PTSD. You may be the first to mention this to them, so being educated on it will help your conversation.
SGB Provider List
We are working on expanding this list of SGB providers to places we would recommend to our friends. Everyone on this list has consented to be added.
It's vital that people receive responsible, competent care. If you have been to a place where you've received care and want to recommend it, please let us know. Our team will communicate with SGB providers about being added.
