Mushrooms and Me:
What are they? Do they work?
Indigenous cultures have used psychedelic substances, including psilocybin, for spiritual and medicinal purposes for thousands of years. In traditional settings, psilocybin-containing mushrooms were often consumed during religious ceremonies and were believed to have the power to connect people with the spiritual realm and bring about physical and psychological healing.
Take a look at different dosing and micro-dosing options we put together:

How does it work?"The only thing we know for sure is that [psychedelics, like psilocybin] activate serotonin receptors, but we really don’t know their mechanism for producing an antidepressant—and not just antidepressant, but an antianxiety, antiaddictive—effect.” https://asm.org/Articles/2023/February/Psilocybin-and-Mental-Health-The-Magic-in-the-Mush

Is it legal?Right now, we are working together to write inclusive and respectful legislation for impacted communities. Starting with the indigenous cultures that brought taught us these medicines. When we write legislation, we want to deliberately include veterans, along with decriminalization, so that people aren't being punished for seeking help. As of now, we recommend looking up your state, so you are aware of the laws that affect you.

What's going on in Oregon?Oregon's pathway for accessing Psilocybin is not an easy one and is covered with money. In 2020 Measure 110 decriminalized it, and measure 109 created framework for providers. Unfortunately this framework is prohibitively expensive and does not allow those who have been practicing, and teaching it's use for centuries to be at the front of the discussion. Will it interact with my meds?A list of known drug interactions has been provided by Oregon and should be helpful when discussing use. Please be cautious as these may hold true for the majority, some people may have interaction not listed here: https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/PREVENTIONWELLNESS/Documents/OPAB%20DRAFT%20PARTIAL%20Psilocybin_Drug%20interactions.pdf
